About competition
Organizer of the competition – Združenie prvovýrobcov a spracovateľov surovín na výrobu liehu, výrobcov liehu a destilátov, ako aj ďalších potravinárskych komodít zo Spiša (hereinafter the „Združenie Spiš), and the co-organizer – Slovenský Rád rytierov destilátov, offers the opportunity to alcohol distilleries, cultivating distilleries and natural persons to present their products and to compare them to distillates from various regions and countries, taking in account various regional and traditional distillation aspects.
Any person is allowed to participate on the competition, be it producer or merchant, and all distillates from all world destinations can be registered in the competition.
Distillates are evaluated by the international professional jury comprising the top Slovak, Czech and Moravian tasters, and those from other European countries. Awarded samples in particular groups and categories will move up to a narrower selection of distillates that will be available to evaluation by participants for purpose of amateur evaluation.
We would like to point out the information that total 479 samples were registered in the 2nd annual competition Carpathian Quality in 2024, there of 385 samples were submitted by the cultivators and 94 samples by prestigious distilleries from various EU countries.
